Recommendations for a cheap switch

I'm living in a dorm room that has a T1 coming into it (hence, Ethernet), and I'm looking for a switch that I can use to network the three computers in the room. If it had a built-in firewall and a print server, that would be great, but they're not necessarily necessities. Any suggestions?

I've been looking at a D-Link switch, but it doesn't have the firewall or the print server, and I haven't gotten any recommendations from anyone that's used it.

Those home routers are probably what you are looking for. I just use a netgear switch since I have an OpenBSD firewall.

Pardon my ignorance, will they still put through the 10/100 mbit connection speeds on Ethernet?

I believe most of the home routers only do 10mbit on the WAN side, but some offer both firewalling and NATing. NAT may be important if you are only allowed to setup one machine per connection.

If you just need a switch, I liked my Linksys 5 port switch. Cheap, and worked well.

If you want the print server and firewall look at the SMC Barricade. It'll work fine, we used one in Drexel's dorms for a month to split a connection between 3 laptops and 2 computers Worked great...except when we overloaded the connection, hehe
