Is it possible to get a decent 65" (or 70") for under $2,000 ?

I know I can get garbage... (Best Buy sells a 65" Dynex for VERY cheap but of course it's going to be junk)

My only requirement is passive 3D. Right now I have a 50" Panasonic plasma and I love it, but the active 3D hurts my eyes. Also, this 65" - 70" is going in the basement so it's a different room and not replacing the Panasonic.

So... is there any 65" for $1,500 or anything in that price range that would be considered "good" ?

my buddy got a 70" LG a while back that is passive 3D and i'm almost positive he paid under $2k for it. it's a nice set but definitely does not look nearly as good as my 60" ST50 plasma. but i also think it's because he has no clue how to calibrate his tv, it is set WWWAAAYYYY too bright.

I picked up the Sony 70" KDL70R550A from Costco for $2300 a couple of months ago.

A quick search shows prices $1999 to $2300.

Even though it is 120hz vs. 240hz it still looks great.

Pretty sure the Sharp 70" is under 2k now, at least one of them is, not sure about 3D

edit: nope the 6 series does not have 3D but you can get the 70 for 1700

7 series has 3D but the 70 is 2300
