Recommendations: Cable or DSL for Washington DC Apartment?

Address is near the intersection of Porter Street and Wisconsin Ave.

I think I am leaning towards Verizon DSL. Any other recommendations? FIOS is not yet available but I think the possibility of getting it is one big reason to go with Verizon.

that is a really close distance, I would go dsl. You should be able to get 6mb/s or whatever thier highend package is.

do you want to get cable tv? sometimes the two will come in a package and be cheaper. as opposed to getting internet from one company and tv from another and paying full price for both.

until vz lays down fios, you can only get directv through them, but then you need to ensure you have somewhere to put the dish.

For which plan? How much does it cost?

Like I said, FIOS ain't available yet but if I get with Verizon for DSL it would be easier to upgrade to that if/when available.
