First off, bear with me as I am a newbie to the PS3, it's my first-ever console (Thank you Sony Rewards ... :biggrin
Anyways, I have the PS3 320GBer with Move bundle, and am trying to set it up in my home theater/area. As I have all my gear in two racks in a location separate from the TV and speakers, with lots of in-wall and other hidden wiring running to the listening/viewing area, I'm searching for a way to connect the Eye camera to the PS3 system unit.
I thought that at 20-25 feet total (Eye's cable + length of extension), I would be able to use something like this :
http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10303&cs_id=1030312&p_id=2779&seq=1&format=2
Despite reviewers on MP saying this cable worked with their PS3 Eye (USB 2.0), it's not cutting it for me, too much lag.
I wonder if I need a better cable ? MP cables are OK, and I've long been acutely aware of the Monster/UltraLink/et al "ripoffs", but they (MP) pale in comparison to a Blue Jeans cable for example. But alas, BJ doesn't do any USB extenders.
Alternately, do I need to look at USB over CAT5 instead ?
Thanx,
MR
