My 9800 pro took a crap on me, even tho its only 3 months old... I'm using a ti4200 i installed in my parents computer atm, and it wont be long before they are crying about not having their computer running (the same way I am about this one... "sighs") but now I need to get something new.
I'm looking for a card that I can pick up fairly cheap (< $300) and I want to throw some after market cooling on it and oc modestly.
I've been looking thru alot of different forums, tech pages and what not, in search of a mean card, that can perhaps get a bios mod to unlock some mean potential.
My current target is a 6800 NU, as I see alot of people mentioning simply rivatuning to open up the 12x5 to 16x6, instantly raising its performance closer to a GT, and for $260, that card seems to be the best deal to me, atm.
What about you guys? If you were stuck and had to make the choice I do, what would you do?
