Recommendation needed for high-performance laptop

Folks,

I am looking for a notebook/laptop that is i7-based and has 16G RAM. At HP's site, Envy 15 seemed to fit the bill. The overview says that it supports i7 as well as 16G RAM. However, when you go through customization, there is no option for i7 or for 16G RAM.

What is strange is that this option was available until last week. The final price was close to $1900 (within the budget).

This is my development box as well as technical demo box. My demo typically requires multiple VMWare virtual machines running.

Can you please recommend a laptop?

The Envy 15 only has two DIMM slots, so that's out. I would say the Envy 14 would fit the bill (and the build quality is better than the 15), but it also only has two DIMM slots, so you're stuck with 8GB max. It does have an i7 option, though.
