Hey everyone,
Hoping for some reccomendations here.
Doing a new PC build, need speakers.
Currently have been using Logitech z623s for over a decade and have been pretty happy overall. However, for my new build, looking into all white build. Doesnt seem like the logitech or the klipsch promedia 2.1s come in that color. planning to put my logitech connected to alexa in the living room for just music now (i have a vizio atmos soundbar with sub/rear speakers) for the 4k TV. but now I need a new solution for the office/computer room.
So im branching out, have been looking at kanto yu4 or audioengine A2+ - downsides are price and they dont come with subwoofers. also heard about edifer MR4, fluance elite, edifer r1700, and other cheaper 2.0 that maybe i can add a sub to?
So a few questions:
1: Does anyone have any thoughts on those speakers? How would the A2+ or YU4 compare to the z623. or any of the other ones listed
2: How would the loss of subwoofer matter? Is it better to go with cheaper 2.1 (like the z623) over a high quality 2.0? is there a relatively affordable solution for an audio system in white that is 2.1 (adding a cheap sub to one of the 2.0 systems)
I suppose I had been expecting something to exist similar to the z623 including price range but in white (170$)
I get that is probably unlikely, so if there is a system of 2.0 or 2.1 that can be cobbled together that will be high quality in white, i would ideally spend somewhere between 200-400 on the entire system, as close to the low end as possible but can go to the high end if there true value to add
Primary use is gaming. Secondary is music, mostly punk/emo/hardcore rock, less often alt/post hardcore/pop rock, rarely some rap.
Motherboard is gigabyte aorus pro x https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/X670E-AORUS-PRO-X Which I guess will be the primary audio processor, though I am told new speakers do USB out from the compiuter and process the audio on their own DAC (?)
thanks in advance!
