Recommendation for video card please

I'm looking to upgrade from my onboard to something that can be used for light gaming. PCI-e and DVI are my only requirements. I'd like to spend $50-$75 and it will not be used as a dvr.

I'm so out of the loop for cards I was hoping someone could give me some recommendations.

Honestly the cards in that price range are most likely old and slow. Around 100 dollars is normally a bare minimum for an up to date card. If all your planning on playing is Counter strike then a card in that price range will play it fine but if your planning on playing newer games your probably out of luck and will have to up your budget.

Yeah I'm not looking to play anything hardcore. I maybe game a few hours a month, but when I do I don't want something lagging around on the screen. I guess I'm kind of in a catch 22, but the one above sounds like a winning place to start comparing.

No I'm just asking for an opinion. I haven't followed videocards for years. A wife and kids kind of do that 😀

As I mentioned in the first post I'm just looking for a best bang for buck card.

Yeah thats the one I linked a few posts up. I do have to ask why have a few recommended the 3650? I guess I'm so far out and really am not sure what I'm looking at, but with no reviews (on newegg at least) I can't compare.

The XFX 8600GT has gotten rave reviews and although it's a little more I have something to go by.

Can someone give a little more insight?

Would it be worth upgrading to this card from a GeForce 7300LE? It's less than $60 after rebate, and that just seems so cheap to pass on if this card is any better than my current one.
 
TBH you have just got to splurge a bit on your card. Either use integrated graphics or go with an 8800GS or 3850 for $110 apiece or so. If you can cut corners elsewhere so you can buy these cards, do it.
