i'd say the best bang for your buck is the leadtek winfast deluexe
Do a search for the Leadtek Winfast Expert for some quality feedback. I've installed and sold dozens of them, and they are quite a bargain.

I have been quite happy withe the cheapo Leadtek WinFast TV2000 XP Expert

I agree with Schaden, the ati TV wonder is overpriced and the drivers are horrendous. The leadtek cards are all i use for customer's. You get everything with them, remote control, stereo sound, fm, TV, capture, and better software, and it's still much cheaper than ATI's equivalent.

🙂

Hey, this is off topic, but do u guys get lines that appear at random at times with the Leadtek Winfast Expert tuner? If not, i think i need to RMA this or something.

yes, yes you do need to RMA it if you are seeing lines

Hauppauge is one of the BEST cards out there (most of their's have an hardware MPEG encoder on board, not that cheezy ATi software decoder).

But he said for $35, so thats a no go.

If you can spend a little more, get the Hauppauge PVR250, awesome capture quality, great features, etc).

I have the $30 Ati TV Wonder VE, the quality is not so good, but it is cheap. But after I got the Hauppauge, the ATi sits in a box collecting dust.

what about a lower end hauppauge? you can pick up a wintv go for about $25 on ebay. I've got one, but I can't say anything about the quality because I have nothing to compare to. Is the leadtek expert better?
