Hi,
I'm looking for a spring coil USB A to C cable for use on my car. I have been using Baseus which I thought was a decent brand, but the connection becomes very bad after a few months, maybe due to the heat. Are there any better cables out there that last?

Is the device you're plugging into C or A ?

I use little adapters to just use primarily C<>C cables only at this point. I use Necktek cables after testing a dozen or so of them for throughput and charging rates and they're still running strong for 2 years now. I also picked up a couple of these for additional cables to keep on hand that are braided for durability.

For the adapters though I picked up sets of:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B086X3XVGC - C<>microUSB
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08CC8F312 - C<>A
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PXS1P7B - C<>A
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YCZ2S82 - A<>C

I can verify using these give good charge and bandwidth for moving files around. For the car though I picked up a 73W charger for my battery pack and running my Laptop.

I have an old USB micro cable that I've been using for years that still works just fine. As with everything it all depends on how you use them and how well you take care of them.

I'm guessing you were looking for something more like a coiled memory formed cable instead. More like a spiral that extends and collapses like a slinky?

Well, the reel up one would work or finding a different brand might last longer. I'm thinking the reel one will be a bit more substantial. I just use a regular straight c<>c cable that's very durable. Maybe it's time to convert to a different charger / cable.

Nekteck USB-C to USB C 3.1 Gen2... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07X4GQ1SS

This is what I'm using and it works well. The car charger was an issue that slipped out while driving until I tested this one. I also use it for powering my laptop with a different cable when flashing my ECU or doing other updates to systems.
