Recommendation for office router

Our office has about a dozen machines that all require Internet access (via a standard cable modem). We're currently using a Linksys router but it's not particularly reliable (hangs up every now and then). Is there any such thing as a professional router for small offices sub $500 ? I'm looking for something that will be rock steady even under heavy traffic.

I've had success with a 3com when I was running a LAN for 20+ users.

We're using a 3com switch at the moment and it's started acting up.

EPIA PD6000 + 512mb IDE Flash module + 256mb RAM + OpenBSD... like a rock. Comes in at $500 or so.

im running a cisco 831.. has great dependability.. but then again its cisco - you could also think about a linux based OS.. like freesco, ipcop or smoothwall they are a little advanced for the average user to setup, but theres nice forums, and support that will help for free..
