Recommendation for multimedia laptop

I had a Dell Inspiron that lasted 8 years that I loved. After that I've been through two others (Asus, something else I can't remember) that lasted about a year before their screens fried. I'd like a recommendation for a new laptop. I mainly use it for watching TV and movies. Ideally it's at least 17" and requires no external speakers. My price range is up to $1500.
