Can anyone give any recommendations for a good amd motherboard that has onboard video, preferably nforce2? My dad's building a computer for a buddy, so overclocking is not a factor.

Going through Newegg, I was able to find the following motherboards in his budget:

BIOSTAR "M7NCG PRO" -- $88 5 pci
BIOSTAR "M7NCG 400" -- $67 3 pci
MSI "K7N2GM-L" -- $85 3 pci
Shuttle "MN31N" -- $85 3 pci
Epox 8RGMI" -- $78 2 pci

Any advice would be appreciated.

if theres no gaming involved, the biostar m7vig with s3 video has worked great in a few systems ive built. As far as the nforce boards go you really cant go wrong on any of them, though id tend to get the m7ncg pro with the larger form factor for extra expandability

I'd go with the MSI K7N2G-L not the K7N2GM-L,..... uh wait I already did. Did have one minor glitch with the video and Prime95, but a driver and bios update took care of that, the new boards should be shipping with the new bios and drivers.
I needed to build the wife an inexpensive machine, went with this MB, Samsung pc2700, my old 2100+, a WD 40gb, and a Lite On 52x 32x 52x cd/rw. Very inexpensive and has been a rock solid performer.

For non-gaming nd juts maybe movie/video watching then go with biostar m7vig

For light gaming then go Shuttle MN31N alos has the MCP-T southbridge so you get upgraded sound and firewire
