I have an old HP Laserjet 4 that I'd like to setup in another room. Does anyone have a recommendation for a wireless parallel print server that has WPA capability? If this is difficult, expensive or non-existent . . . what other options do I have without running cat5?

Thanks!

The TrendNET TEW-P1PG model apparently supports WPA with the latest firmware.

I would think pretty much any model which has the features you want would work fine. It's just a parallel printer after all. There are also many others, some a good bit cheaper even than the TrendNET, although I don't know if they support WPA. Just do a search for "wireless parallel print server".

Yes, already hit newegg, google and ebay. At $70, I might just consider another printer and usb print server. Nevertheless, thanks for your thoughts :)

No doubt they're all pricey. Ah well, will have to stop being lazy and put the other machines in the next room. Just wanted to avoid fishing cat5 through the wall (linux server I'd rather not go wireless on). Thanks again Evermore.
