Recommendation for a soldering iron

I am not an expert or a heavy user of soldering stuff together, but I would like a soldering iron that reliable. Can somebody give me any recommendations on brands or where to get an inexpensive one? Thanks!

Edit: I forgot to mention that I do not care for the gun soldering iron.

I got a Craftsman brand one from Sears the other day on sale for less than $10.

I have a few cheap ones. even have one in my truck just in case 😛. Like 43 from harber freight.

I use a craftsman gun for most stuff that is not as delicate though.

I have a Hexacon and love that thing. From SMD chiseling to stained glass and contact fills, blobbing faulty light heads, etc, it works like a charm. 🙂

i had one and loved it before it was stolen. the 120 minute run time is conservative and a single bottle of butane will refill it at least a dozen times.
