Recommendation for a reasonable 40in TV also HTIB

This would be a secondary TV for my game room to replace an old Sony Wega Trintron 32in 1080i tube tv.

The Sony is old enough it only has component in for HD and I need a couple of HDMI inputs.

Budget is flexible. I'm not looking for 4K here but neither am I looking for the cheapest Chinese crap either. Size just needs to be around 40in. Uses would be for tv, blu-ray and game consoles.

Also considering adding an inexpensive home theater in a box. Basically just need a receiver and speakers. The room is pre-wired for 5.1.

By in large HTIB are complete crap. How much are you looking to put into the sound? I'd rather have good front stage sound than crappy surround sound.
