I'm using a no-name 4-port KVM now (PS/2) but the video quality is so grainy. any recommendations would be appreciated.

TIA,

I've been using Zonet KVM's for a few years now, and the video never looks grainy or washed out. They are also fairly inexpensive and include cables.

IOGear mini is $18 at Micro Center (2 port)

I've been using one for years.

Hmmm.. never thought about this.. I just put together a high-end gaming system (still waiting for the vid card), and I'm using a cheapo KVM to switch between my old and new comps.. will the KVM really screw up the video quality? I thought it would be just pass through with no signal degredation.. any technical folks want to comment...

I use linksys switches at work and they get the job done, plus they're pretty easy to use. We had the IOGear ones available, but the people who primarily deal with the stuff on the KVM tell everyone to steer clear of the IOGear stuff.
