My girfriend thinks shes put a few beer pounds on in the last year (maybe she has, but of course i wouldnt say anything). She doesnt really need to lose much, but regardless, going to the gym is a good thing, so please help me come up with a workout routine for her.
Basically, she wants to lose a few pounds around the midsection.
I'm thinking lots of cardio and abdominal stuff would be the best, combined with some light lifting to tone muscle. Maybe something like an all around routine she does 3 days a week consisting of something like:
20-30 min cardio
3 sets of situps
3 sets of side/side crunches
3 sets of obliques
3 sets of leg press
3 sets of leg curl
several minutes of core exercises
optional: light upper body weights (dumbell stuff)
And she wants to accomplish this without giving up alcohol (obviously)
Any thoughts?
