Just a simple little thing they want to try at the school I work in. They want to set up a camera in a room and have it viewable on a couple of workstations in another room in the school. If there is there some freebie simple way do do this that someone can point me to I would be most appreciative.

Very simple little thing you can buy Logitech Webcam Live. I have own Logitech Nootebook Ultra and Creative Live Pro I prefer Creative Live Pro for quality.

Thanks, I'll have them check this out if they have to buy a cam but for now I already have a USB webcam available to test with, just no software other than drivers.

This sounds like an application I would use an IP camera for (cam that requires no PC to broadcast on the web, only a wired or wireless network connection -- clients access the cam through a web page). Axis, Mobotix and Sony make excellent models, but are pricey. To just test out, I know D-Link makes a very inexpensive wired model.
