Recommend to me some good earbuds ($30-$50 range)

Hmmm might want to look into NuForce NE-7M or something similar... Haven't personally heard them myself, but they were all the rave a good couple months back.

These look pretty good. I've been looking for a pair of good quality yet inexpensive buds myself. I've been spoilt by my Grado SR60s but they're not exactly portable.

Yeah, that's exactly why I don't like it. Unfortunately I can't find anything better than it in the CX series, and the CX300 seem to be a step down in actual sound quality.

What about the Shure SE110? All the reviews I'm seeing say it's not as good as the higher models, but neither is it $150+. For $50 it looks like a good deal. Anyone have those?

the original 300 was certainly overrated. the mk2 sound a lot better though, no idea how they compare to the 500 though.
