I want to stay within legal parameters for OH so it can't be too dark or mirrored.

Huper Optik ?
3M ?
Llumar ?

unless your tinting yourself.

just roll with what your installer has on hand as long as its lifetime warranty.

My installer used Johnson's film on my maxima about 6 years ago and he just tinted my G35 about 4 months ago. No issues at all.

I have Llumar and no bubble or purpling after almost 5 years. But I imagine the installer also makes a difference.

I've also been careful to never use Windex on them. Hell I don't think i've ever cleaned the inside of my windows, lol. I should look into that.

I had a van tinted with the 3m stuff. 35% rears and hatch, still like new today, ~10 years later.

Any reputable tint shop that's been in the business for a long time will carry better quality film that won't bubble or turn purple. Cant remember what brand film the shop used on mine but it's still looking good after 5 years. Did all around except windshield (illegal in CA) but haven't been cited yet.

I've got Huper Optik. Love it. 3M isn't what it used to be. IIRC they changed something about it. From what I've read 3M film is now that cheap crap that purples.

I paid more than what other people did but I went to a reputable place and paid for the highest quality stuff. I didn't want to have to re-do it every other year. My tint still looks as good as day one and that was 3.5yrs ago.

Just make sure to not get it too dark, otherwise when you go to back up at night you can't see crap out the back window D:

I have 30% all the way around and it hard to see if there's no street lights out. I don't know how people can see with darker.

I've got 5% on my rear and back windows, and 35% on the front. Backing up at night without any street lights can be a PITA sometimes.

Another vote for llumar. Had it on my last car with no turning purple or bubbling and 1 3/4 years so far on this car.

Don't like tinting just the rear windows and windshield, or having different tints for the fronts.
If I did decide to go non-legal, I'd get Huper Optik.
