brown some ground beef, use the oil rendered out to saute some onions, garlic and sliced button mushrooms. Add Prego and you've got a kickass spaghetti bolognese that is good and easy.

Bertolli Vineyard Premium Portabello Mushroom with Merlot. Hands down the best pasta sauce you can get from a jar. The Bertolli Oraganic Tomato & Basil isn't too bad either.

Back in my eat-spaghett-all-the-time days, I found Classico to be the best as well. Just had to do something about the extra water in the tomato-basil version.

How about make it yourself instead? It's easy and the canned stuff never compares. It only takes about 15 minutes.

You really should make your own. The bottled ones taste like ass.

Yep. I like Classico a lot. I doubt it is the best, but for a relatively inexpensive readily available jarred sauce, it is a winner.

Classico is good. I used Prego every so often. Mix some pesto sauce with it.. it's great

Slice streaky bacon into small strips and cook it in oil until it's almost going crispy. When nearly done add thinly sliced onions, garlic, and mushrooms. Cook down until all the water comes off. Stir a lot. If it's sticking to the pan at this point you've had the heat up too high, but splash some white wine or stock or even just water to deglaze. Now add loads of double cream, and some frozen peas, and boil down for about 10 minutes. Do not burn the cream but do simmer it properly. Don't listen to people who tell you not to cook double cream they're fools.

Eat this with spaghetti and lots of parmesan cheese and black pepper.

If anyone wants it I'll post my bolognese recipe, but it's really long and takes about 24 hours to make. It is also, however, really fucking good.

Make some yourself - chicken broth, white wine, spinach, onions, garlic, and a little flour to thicken the sauce :)

Well, yeah... I should say it was the best of those I tried.

I made a very similar recipe a few weeks ago. It was excellent.

Homemade. While it may take all day to simmer, you can portion it off and freeze it for later use.
