Recommend some 'operatic' music

Listening to Tarja Turunen singing "Kuolema Tekee Taiteilijan" on Nightwish's latest album has really got me in the mood for more 'operatic' music. Not sure whether I'd like a pure Opera, but if you can think of a good one, shoot! (As far as that goes, actually, I more-or-less like Carmen, but that's the only actual opera I know)

Ummm....anyway, yeah, suggestions, please!

Anything by Nightwish.

LOL - okay, yeah, I know that. (Actually, 'Higher Than Hope' and 'White Night Fantasy' on their last CD are just AWESOME songs....not sure I'd call either 'operatic', but they are just incredible)

You would probably like anything that Bocelli's done.

Andrea Bocelli?

Actually, yes, I do have one CD of his. Romanza?

Yes, now that you mention it, I *DO* like that!

Puccini = Opera 101. Start there. You've probably heard most of it and just don't know it.

Hmmm....will look into.

Any other female vocalists, though? Dunno why, tend to prefer women's singing voices over men's. (And just in case somebody mentions it - because many seem to mention her in the same breath as Bocelli - I HATE Sarah Brightman)

Carl Orff, Carmina Burana
Another recommendation for Carmina Burana. The libretto is in Latin, but that shouldn't matter much.

Hmmm...well, dug up what I could on that....I think I may have heard it before. If not, something very similar. I've never been fond of that....type of chorus. Not sure how to be more specific. Some choruses sound different? Different types, I'm presuming? (Excuse my musical n00bness, please)

Anyway, tried that, didn't like. Thanks for the recommendation, but I think I'm looking for something else.
