I like spending the night before Halloween (not Halloween night itself, I go out with friends that night) watching scary Halloween themed stuff. There's a few good ones out there I remember (The X-Files Halloween episodes were good) and I always watch the original Night of the Living Dead, but do ya'll have any other suggestions?

I always thought that John Carpenter's "Prince Of Darkness" was a creepy movie to watch, especially alone.

Evil Dead's a good choice, thanks. I always thought Army of Darkness was kind of overrated

Reanimator
From Beyond

Both are excellent well reviewed and scary HP Lovecraft films from the 80's.

Hellraiser - Clive Barker directed
Christine - John Carpenter dirests a Stephen King novel

I would also give a look to the Masters of Horror series. Some are very good!

Not nearly scary enough. Program in ASM or Haskell, that should give anyone nightmares :)

Prolog  always gives me the chills. Haskell is easy, functional languages are very intuitive IMO. To be fair I've only done < 1 month of Haskell so nothing advanced, but I picked up the concepts quickly.

I've tried, but I couldn't ever get anything worth wild from Haskell. It SEEMS useful, yet, I can find the use. (I'm probably just too entrenched in C/C++)

Haskell is very handy for certain problem domains.
