Sin City is good for stylized movies with gore that remind you of Max Payne (the narrative film noir style).

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

It's my favorite movie.

I asked for something dark, non-mainstream, and surprising like Fight Club and you suggest Elf and babe-pig in the city?

When it came out it wasn't that popular. I guess now all the emo kids are liking it. But remember it's 8 years old now, so it's attracted a cult following.

Also keep in mind that the people you talk to are probably a lot like yourself, and not the average stiff.

Is this a foreign film that goes by some other name? A search for "Old Boy" on imdb didn't turn anything up with that exact title.

As many have said before, Children of Men and Pan's Labyrinth.

Both are excellent movies.
