Recommend some good DS games!

Hello.

Just got a DS Lite a couple days ago. I know there is supposed to be a huge amount of games for this little system that are "must have." I just want to know what the people here recommend.

New Super Mario Bros
Nanostray 1 & 2 (if you like shooters)
Mario Kart DS

I love puzzle games, Tetris is a possibility. Good recommendations, keep em coming.

The CastleVania games are a must.
New SMB is great!
Mario Kart DS for racing fun.
Ninja Gaidenragon Sword is pretty fun.
Phoenix Wright:Ace Attorney is...interesting.
Professor Layton & The Curious Village if you like solving puzzles.
Zelda : Phantom Hourglass was a good old fashioned Zelda with a twist.
The World Ends With You is a different kind of game, and very fun.
The Final Fantasy games are generally pretty good, depending on what kind of gameplay you enjoy.
I still play Sudoku almost every day... (From Brain Age 1&2)

Thanks for all the recommendations so far you guys. I lean more towards multiplayer games that can be played with one cart, like Bomberman and Mario Kart type games.

Advance Wars - Turn based strategy game, is very good
Elite Beat Agents - Rythm game that is a blast
Neves - Arrange the shapes to make the picture puzzle game
Picross - Another of my favorite puzzle games, but it makes my brain hurt.

A great puzzle game.

This game and all the other games mentioned in this thread are worth picking up.

The only good game I own that isn't listed is one that most adults avoid: Pokemon.

If you like action-puzzlers like Tetris, then I can't recommend Meteos or Meteos Disney Edition highly enough.

I just picked up Puzzle Quest and it's awesome. It's like bejeweled with RPG elements. Some of my other favorites are:
Tetris
Worm: Open Warefare 2
Mario Kart
Geometry Wars
Brain Age

Castlevania games are awesome for it
Lunar Knights is pretty fun if your familiar with the Boktai series
The World Ends with You is an awesome game
Advance Wars series is a good strategy series
Contra 4 is pretty fun, although I wouldnt buy it unless you have a fried to play it with
Metroid Hunters was pretty fun
Megaman ZX is really good if you like the Mega Man X series
