Recommend some fun things to do in San Diego

A friend of mine is coming to visit this weekend. I'm thinking about picking them up and having a picnic on the beach.. maybe surfing a little bit afterwards and then going downtown in the evening. What else do you suggest? I was thinking about maybe showing them Coronado.

Coronado is nice I guess. I would suggest all the touristy places but im sure you know all of them already.

My first thought was the hookers on Rosecran Blvd. After giving it some thought though the best thin to do in SD is rent a car and got to Tijuana

I second the Tijuana idea. If your friends have never been its very interesting, to say the least.

Big move here... although not really.. I lived in LA for a long time and am used to crowded SoCal.

Looking forward to going to TJ and picking up my unprescribed pills with my gf while eating those awesome tacos and drinking the cervazas.... ahhh. :beer:
