Recommend some DS games to play

i'm finally playing my ds lite.

what are some good games?

or what are some good sites that list top rated games?

It really depends what you're looking for. For mindless arcade action, the port of Geometry Wars is about as good as it gets (although you will see slowdown during some of the more ridiculous spots in the game).

For puzzler action, I like both Meteos and Meteos Disney Edition.

Puzzle Quest is an incredibly deep and replayable game if you like RPGs, even if you're not a huge Bejeweled fan.

I enjoyed a lot of The Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass, although I'm not a big fan of the timed dungeon. The exploration and stylus mechanics are top-notch, though.

I rarely finish games...get bored/lose interest.

I devoured the castlevania games and zelda. I also really enjoyed big brain academy and for a while, the pokemon game. Though I stopped playing for a couple months and never revisited b/c I lost track of what I was doing.

Any of the Castlevania games, New Super Mario Bros, Tetris, Zelda, Metroid, too many to list really. You also have the option of picking up some GBA games, there are some awesome ones like Golden Sun 1/2, Advance Wars....

I have logged like 200+ hours in both of the Advance Wars games (I play it during work, don't tell my boss).

Currently working on getting S-level in every map in campaign mode.

It is awesome to the max.

I'm currently working on Metroid Prime Hunters. I'm not a FPS fan, but this game's pretty damn challenging. I was playing FF3 and Pokemon Diamond, but I lost track of my progress. Looks like I might have to start over on those two. Ok, maybe just Pokemon, I got last flying ship in FF3, I'll just look up guides to pickup where I left off.

I played the Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword demo, it looks really good. But hacking and slashing can get repetitive.

So far, my only DS game so far is Advance Wars: Days of Ruin. It's pretty good turn-based strategy, but gawdawful hard.

I've played a bunch of GBA games on it too. The Legend of Zeld: The Minish Cap is pretty good.

I  Advance Wars. Typically in that series, most of the battles aren't terribly difficult - you can at very least grind through the battles because the balance is slightly in your favor. Usually though there are a few battles where grinding won't work, and you have to utilize your units well to win. On some maps you have to recognize advantages that the terrain gives you. i.e. on the first map with the giant owl bomber (I think), if you recognize that the top half of the map is blocked by pipes, you can focus on the bottom half early and get a foothold far enough out to tip the balance in your favor.

I wouldn't say the game is incredibly difficult as a whole, but there are some battles where you may get stuck. Going through the tactics recommendations in-game may help, and if you still can't beat the battle check Gamefaqs.

Advance Wars: Days of Ruin seems like a watered down Age of Empires?

capture resources, build army

air, water, land units

Nah, it's good.

I have mario bros: partners in time, which is a sequel to the superstar saga game for the GBA. It's got a great sense of humor.

Advance Wars
The japanese Elite beat agents games. Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan and Moero! Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2
Elite Beat Agents
The World Ends With you
Mario Kart - best version I think even including the Wii
Neo Geo emulator - Mark of the wolves on the DS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jump Ultimate Stars - Japanese

Upcoming

Final Fantasy Tactics A2 in June

Only real difference in gameplay is the songs. Elite Beat Agents has a really bad soundtrack. Although overall it is still good and if you aren't going to be able to play imports, it is probably the most addictive DS game.

There's nothing wrong with the soundtrack in EBA. I would prefer to be able to understand the music I'm listening to rather than some incomprehensible J-Pop.

Jump Ultimate Stars, this game has over 300 charcters from different anime like naruto, one piece and other manga,it also has wifi.Trust me this is probably the best fighter on the ds.

J pop is usually crap but when you are tapping out beats it is much better for that than say some horrible rolling stones covers or avril levine covers.
