For pants: For my 4 hour shift each week at best buy (for the discount) has to be khaki/light colored, and no cargo pants. I prefer something baggy (but not falling off my arse..) ... and I need a decent brown belt (OR recommend a good brand of black shoes..) I bought dr martins last time for shoes and they suck. uncomfortable to me.

Pants need to be under $40ish (jc penney and rich's seem to have abundants of pants in the $39.99 or less range.. too many to go try on though)

My FAVORITE pants of all time are aeropastle size 33/30. but, they dont have anything that ISNT cargo... bleh.

For shoes go with Kenneth Cole's...wear them to work almost everyday (granted I'm sitting down), but they are soooo comfortable!

Belt I would go to like TJ Maxx or Ross...you can normally pick one up for ~10-15 bucks.

Pants...walk around the mall till you see something you like...40 bucks can get you a pretty nice pair.

So get some that are a bit longer in the inseam. 33-31, perhaps?

I'm sure you'd find something if you went to Penney's, Kohl's, Macy's, Dillard's, or whatever dept stores you have down there.

For shoes, Ecco shoes are awesome. Very comfortable.

Then maybe it's time to add some length to your pant leg size?

swear by my levi slates dress pants (have about 7 pairs that actually still fit)...normally go for around $70, but you can catch them on sale at Pennys for $40...

Land's End pants have worked well for me. They will adjust your pants to almost any waist/inseam size you need, also.

well.. my issue isnt how long they are, more like how wide it is at the shoe. I'm also fairly athletic, and run every other day, thus have large legs compared to my waist. So, my waist is 33... but 33 width pants tend to be tight in the leg area 35 or 36 is too wide in the waist but perfect in the leg.

aeropostle pants are perfect for me

Go to a tailor, then.

Or, settle for something that doesn't cover your shoelaces (or get some loafers...no shoelaces!)

i spent an hour and a half doing that with no luck.

If that doesn't work, then go to a taylor. Everybody has different body styles, what fits me isn't going to be comfortable to you in the least.

Docker's with front pleats and the upper grade ones. Nicer material and a lighter khaki color.

the Lace problem is solved with the upper grade ones that come in lengths. (there is a middle grade with lengths too).

I don't have a nice butt I think, but twice now in Docker's and a nice Navy shirt I've been pinched :)

YMMV of course.

I'm not a fan of khakis at all, but try the Dawson cut from Banana Republic. Those have a slightly wider leg opening (19", IIRC), as compared to the Gavin (17") and Emerson (18") cuts. You also should take a look at Bluefly.com; they might have some good boot cut pants at the right price, especially since coupons can usually be found without much trouble. If you're looking for a wide leg opening, you want boot cut pants (straight leg pants taper as the leg goes down). Don't overdo it and get some overly flared thing though; that's just lame.

Also, please don't get any Dockers. It's horrible enough that so many guys don't know better than to wear them :(

I don't like Docker's khaki's very much, but I did just pick up a couple pairs of Docker's flat fronts, and they are very comfortable.

Slates work pretty well.

If budget wasn't a concern I'd tell you to get some Tommy Bahama slacks. Damn, they are the most comfortable clothes ever, but also the most expensive -- $90-100 a pair.

I had the same problem... I just ordered some Dockers adjustable waist pants from JC Penny's website and one day I'll make it to a tailor to have them shortened about 1 inch.

?!? huh

Docker's aren't my only pants, but perhaps they fit me well (you a bell shaped individual?).

I get alot of complements on how I am dressed in them.

Boot cut and khakis is just crazy....wear jeans.
