Well I now have a 360 as part of my home entertainment system setup and I'm quite happy with it so far. Right now I have Gears of War and Chromehounds for the system and I'm trying some other demos to see what else I may like. But since you folks usually recommend some good games I want to know what other games you recommend that I get. The only game type that I wouldn't enjoy playing would probably be basketball. Everything else is pretty much open.

EA Fight Night Round 3 is an awesome game. I usually try to stay clear of EA Stuff but this one is especially good. I also loved NHL '07 (Not 2K7, that's a totally different game).

Dead Rising is my 2nd fav game but the game's save system sucks so you need to get over the ordeal of dieing all the time... few hrs of playing you will become addicted to the game
Viva Pinata is fav game for all the wrong reason, I love my garden and i love that big pinata gang up and start bashing the little pinata.
If you liked GRAW you will like Rainbow six Vegas.
Burnout 4 Revenge if you haven't played it on XBOX/PS2.

Thanks for the recommendations so far. I've downloaded the Dead Rising demo but it seems to be a bit repetitive to me. I have the Rainbow 6 Las Vegas demo just have to play it yet. Any other recommendations?

Dude ;( zombie are only obstacle ... the game has an storyline and other awesome sub quest. The game is much more than what your thinking. Also be very sure you like games like Rainbow 6 Vegas because most of buddies hate games like that. Download the demo and if you like it then buy it.

http://au.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/deadrising/review.html watch the video review of dead rising and see why the game is awesome and why the game got a low score because of its horrible save system. Also text size issue is being solved this week.

Anyways the best XBOX 360 i think is Viva Pinata because its mixture of animal crossing , harvest moon , sim , kameo and god like type games.

I'll give it another chance I suppose. I do like Rainbow 6 as well but then again I've always been a fan of strategic shooters.

I'm a sports nut, so NBA2k7 and Fight Night are my recommendations. Rockstar's Table Tennis is oddly addictive if you play with a buddy/online considering its a budget title.

Dead Rising
Viva Pinata (surprisingly addictive)
Lego Star Wars II (my kid loves this one)
Marvel Ultimate Alliance (surprisingly good action RPG)
Test Drive Unlimited (fun to drive around a Hawaiian Island)

Biggest suggestion I can make is to get a membership at Gamefly or some other place and rent different games to see if they meet your taste or not. I'm on an old Blockbuster Online plan that gives me two free game/video rentals a month. I use it to try out games to see if they will be worth my money or not.

Racing......PGR3. Great racing game.....graphics are outstanding and game is challenging without being sim-y. Been watching Gameplay TV in HD on Dish and there are now international competitions for this game where cyberathletes play for $$$$$ (along with UT, Halo, CS and other hugely popular games).

The NHL games are pretty fun....most have bought EA's but I prefer 2K's after owning both.

Kameo, one of the original titles for the 360, still holds up well and is cheapo.

Burnout Revenge is a krazy crash'em up and good fun.

Oblivion is a good choice for rpg 'cause the 360 can handle the graphics load while most PCs struggle. Excellent game too.

Those are my favs (along with GoW, of course)

I was going to start a thread like this also....

Got a 360 for myself and 8 year old son for xmas.
I got the free MLB 2K6 combo from Best Buy. got Madden. will be getting R6:Vegas, and bionicle for the kid.

But,
For a racing game, which is the best for 1 on 1 split screen racing? PGR3?
Can you do 1 on 1 racing split screen in TD Unlimited?
I have Burnout Revenge for the PSP, so I probably won't get that.

thanks

I don't believe that TD:Unlimited has split screen.

I'd also suggest Lego Star Wars II and maybe Viva Pinata for the kid.

Burnout 4 Revenge on the 360 is the best driving game out there on any platfrom KevinC.

If you haven't played the burnout revenge on PS2/XBOX then you must buy this game instead of crappy PGR3 or NFS.

Sonic is a terrible game.

Also the game you have on PSP is burnout legend which is bascially a Burnout 2 with some burnout 3 feature. Also Burnout legend wasn't great and PSP has controller design flaws that made me sell it.

Also if you haven't played burnout 3 Takedown then you should buy the game for $10 at eb. It will work on XBOX 360. http://au.gamespot.com/xbox/driving/bur...index.html?q=Burnout%203%20Take%20down

Its basically the best driving arcade game ever made.

Viva Pinata is supper awesome game but the game starts of slow and takes few 2hrs to get use to game. But after that you will probably end up loving the game and play it for months.

Well Forza 2 , Lost planet , Crack down and mass effect are the game you should buy next year Q1.

Thanks tuteja1986.

I actually liked Burnout on the PSP, so if Revenge is that much better, it's probably the one to get.

Just to double check though, it has 1 on 1 split screen racing, correct?

Viva Pinata has gotten some great reviews (on Amazon), so that may be one to get also.

Thanks....

Yes it has split screen support. I recommend you download Viva Pinata animation show on XBOX LIVE Marketplace. Its free and the episode are pretty funny.
