Greetings,

I would greatly appreciate advice on what Mobo to get, currently own a MSI K8n Neo2 Platinum and seems to just died on me.

So I now need what Mobo to get.

Needs:
- Socket 939 (ATHLON 64 x2 capable)
- PCIe (want to upgrade from AGP currently owned)
- LAN
- Capable to boot from SATA hard drive ( heard cases like the ASUS A8N5X THAT CANNOT BOOT FROM SATA HD, complete bummer! :Q)

If there is a Mobo with PCIe AND AGP would be much much better . . .

Thanks a lot.

DFI Ultra-D! best 939 board on the market (IMHO).

When I was on 939 (actualy my backup rig IS still 939) I never changed my motherboard. i stuck with the DFI board from when it first was introduced until now.

It has 2 pci-e slots and the ultra-d can be easily modded to Sli so you can do sli in the future.

I'm in the same boat.
My A8N-SLI has been grief for 2 years. Time to put it down.

What would you reccommend for my hardware? I'm looking for a STABLE board that I can swap all my hardware to. I don't need SLI, RAID, etc., but if it is included thats nice.

Also, not required, but is there such a board that could handle a new DX 10 video card and Vista when the time comes to upgrade? Or will all my hardware be obsolete by that time? Just trying to get the most bang fo' buck.

I'm with Geezerman on this one. I've put 2 systems together recently with this board and they can't be beat for the money. Its not an SLI board and its recommended that you do a fresh install of the O/S.
