for under $100, does not need a PSU, Tower or desktop ATX format, post your opinions on which one looks the best from new egg. Im going for looks, but i need something i can cover up my beige colour cdrom if the case is a differant colour, also i have a hardcano that protrueds about 1/2 inch out of the case in one of the 5 1/4 bays

thanks!

i like the COOLER MASTER WAVEMASTER TAC-T01- hehe it looks hella cool but its a bit over 100 =x

the super lan boys look okie too - i'm currently using the X-Dreamer II which has a nice window, two 80mm fans with alien head grills, 6 front led lights, and a temperature monitor--- its a great looking case... very affordable (under $50 if u buy it refurb)... and has cd rom covers so your case will match completely... only down side is that it's not alluminum therefore very heavy >_< came with a powersupply too but i didnt use it~

"nother vote for the Wavemaster. Lots of room, plenty of airflow, blue LEDs. All aluminum. My next case. I'm still using a Fong-Kai 320b.

will my hardcano that protrudes about 3/4 or 1/2 inch out of the 5 1/4 inch bay fit into the thing without obstructing the door? also, what dimensions of fans can fit into the thing? will 92x92x38 or 80x80x38 fit in the wavemaster?

That is a very subjective thing. That depends entirely on what you consider as "cool." Whatever case you like is cool. Cooler Master makes a good case - so do Lian Li and others.

Coolermaster wavemaster. Just ordered a new PC and went for this case. Maximum PC used it for their PC, as did gear.ign.com.

Antec, Enermax, Chieftec, Chembro, and i think CoolerMaster all make some nice cases that are under 100. Note that if your going to get one of the Antec 1040 models or the ones that look like it from Chieftec/Chembro, you should consider the Aluminum models as they are CONSIDERABLY lighter but if you dont do LAN parties, it wouldn't matter.

You may want to look in the newegg refurb section for a case. I picked up a Lian-li PC-71 for 119 shipped, and a coolermaster ATC-210-VX2 for around $80 or so shipped. Both came in perfect shape.

Give us a hint - what kind of stuff do you like? Are you more Lian Li minimalistic, or Xaser III l33t kiddie?

LOL! I was going to link to that thread. However, someone already said ahead of me "cool" is subjective. For example, I think those wavemaster cases are ugly. Give me a PC case shaped like a PC. A nice black or silver box for me to put my components in. Other than that, check out vegetto's case suggestion 😉
