What do you own, and do you love it?
What do you recommend?
Does higher DPI Res. for scanning really matter above 1200x2400?

I have these two in mind, both by Canon, both same thing pretty much, scanner aside:

Same printers, except the print speeds are different, and the scanners are 1200x2400, and the other is 2400x4800. Is there going to be a noticeable difference between these two, a difference warranting an extra $40?
1200x2400 All-In One

or...
2400x4800 All-In-One

Thanks in advance.

Between those I'd go with the 700 because of the separate ink tanks - saves money in the long run on ink costs. If you can go one more step up to a 5-tank model (530, 830), you'll get a bit better photo output. You can often find factory refurbs on Canon models with at least a 90-day warranty - save money.

I got the MX700 from Newegg a few weeks ago...the price was 10 bucks less than currently but the price is still great, and free shipping. Was using a Canon i850 and the new one is MUCH faster. I like the ink tanks (black + 3) because I don't do photos. Copier works great. Prints fine. I think even photos would print well unless you just have to have 5 color printing.
