Im in the market for some new computer speakers. Needs to be 2.1 as my desk is not big enough for anything of larger size. Sub has to be able to BUMP (a lot of clear, undistorted bass). Remote is give or take. let me know!

Seconding the Klipsch 2.1 system. I got mine for $70 refurbed from ebay back in March. Incredible sound quality. Very powerful and punchy. All ranges well-represented.

I don't have them, but I have heard them. The bass was tight, but not overpowering. The Klipsch set would definitely have more bass, but I thought the HK's had a warmer fuller sound.

I've heard the Logitechs and the HK and I would say you should get the Logitech, I just found the sound coming from the Logi speakers to be a bit fuller and didn't rely too much on the subwoofer to deliver the lows. Also the HK looks like a jellyfish...

But I have also heard very good things about the Klipsch speakers and the thing about those is that it has a tweeter built into it so it will give you a fuller range of sounds, but then again its about 2x the Logitech ones.

But I would definitely go for the Klipsch if I were you. Also if you don't mind spending a bit more you could get a pair of bookshelf speakers, that way you wouldn't even need a subwoofer because they usually deliver incredible lows w/o a sub.

def the klipsch. logitech speakers generally suck. their sound consists of squeaky highs, boomy inaccurate bass, and non-existent mids. you can quote me on that.

another option would be the M-Audio LX4 that i'm currently using. will be hard for you to find though. their sound is MUCH MUCH better than the logitechs

I bought a set of Swan M-10s. They are waiting till i move into my new place this weekend to be hooked up, but they are supposed to be good.

I've also heard good things about the Creative Works T-20s.

Between Klipsch and Logitech I'd go for Logitech. I had a set of the early 4.1 systems they made (can't remember that model # now) and they lasted me forever and sounded excellent. I'd have gotten a 2nd set, but I am more into ascetics now (yeah, getting older maybe :) ) and the Swans look great.
