Recommend me some new shoes for cardio and working out.

I'm mainly into Nike and New Balance shoes. I've been running with my old new balance shoes when I'm at the gym, but they don't feel very supportive and my ankle seems to get a little irritated when I run with them on. If you don't know, I broke it 2 januaries ago and these past few months are really the first times i've been running on it since then.

but in general i need some new shoes to wear there. my current ones are beat. i would be willing to get some mid or even hi top shoes for the support, but also just want comfortable ones.

i'm looking for stuff under $100 so that I can get somethin for less than $70 w/the footlocker code. I like darker colored shoes typically but I could go w/white or gray too.

so recommend me some good shoes!

you ever tried them on? just curious how comfortable they are.

Nope, haven't tried them 🙁 I've heard they're comfortable and really do help strengthen your feet (as much as walking barefoot, anyway). I would suggest trying them out at Foot Locker if you can.

Cool. I may go try them on this weekend. I like a few of the color schemes.

I can't second the Nike Free response. They really aren't meant for anything except a training tool. They are not meant to be worn as everyday trainers. They have no support whatsoever and minimal cushioning. If your ankles are prone to weakness, it is very likely that you will roll your ankles just walking in the Frees. I would suggest buying a decent pair of Cross Trainers. Go to a sports store and ask what they have in that category and pick one that feels good to you.

If this link works, these are some Cross Training shoes at FootLocker.

Bah, you can just to Fl's homepage, and choose Men's Shoes, Cross-Training and see the list for yourself.

What kind of stuff will you be doing in these shoes? Running, biking, basketball, lifting? If you'll be mainly running, a pair of straight-up running shoes will be your best bet.

yah mainly running and lifting weights. only other cardio i do is the eliptical machine when i'm not in the mood to run.

my current shoes are just old and worn down so they always feel a little loose in general.

Go to a running store. They will analyze your gait and determine which shoes are best for you. I personally use asics, new balance, and brooks.

Yep, if you are mainly going to run in them, follow this suggestion. The wrong pair of shoes can be disastrous (I speak from experience).

i like my nike shox cogs. feel alot better on my feet than my old new balance pair. great cushioning on a treadmill or on the streets.
