I've been listening to: (to name a few)

Crash Karma
Them Crooked Vultures
Alice in Chains
The Hives
311

And even some Crystal Method and things like that, when I want a change of pace.

Anyone got anything they think I might like? I drive 2 hours a day (round trip) to work and I want more music for the drive.

The Mars Volta - Any album will do, but I am very much enjoying Octahedron. The drumming is off the chain!

Well obviously if you're listening to Them Crooked Vultures, then I'd say Queens of the Stone Age and Eagles of Death Metal.

Fu Manchu and High on Fire may be good for you too.

Others:

Failure - Fantastic Planet
Verve - Storm In Heaven

This all rock? Anything heavy?
I can't really say that I like soft rock type stuff. I don't like death metal, but I like hard rock the most I'd say....

Some of my favorite music from the 90's

Rage
Soundgarden
I mother earth when they had Edwin (scenery and fish)
Disturbed
Incubus older (SCIENCE for example)

Yeah I know they're not, was just a general question, as I haven't heard of some of the bands mentioned.

I know I sound like I conflict when I saw I don't like soft rock cause some of those bands I listen to could pass as that, but I do generally prefer harder rock.

Ah ok some people hear death metal and immediately get turned off. I'm not a fan of death metal either. I tend to like melody and harmony over brutal technical precision.

Haha! No kidding! I've been to a few shows where good bands (Priestess for example) has played with death metal bands, and I can't stand it. Priestess rocks!

Fu Manchu and High on Fire are "Stoner Rock"/Heavy Metal (classic definition). You will find them as hard as anything you listed.

Failure and Verve are more Alt/Prog/Art Rock. They may not be your taste, but they are brilliant.

OK so I know more now(albums are listed if there is a chance you could end up with crap):

Bad Brains (you will see where AIC and most grungy metal came from)
Tool
Ministry - The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste, Psalm69, and Filthpig
White Zombie - La Sexorcisto, Astro Creep: 2000
Kyuss - Blues for a Red Planet
Jane's Addiction - Nothing's Shocking
Faith No More - Angeldust, Album of the Year (it was!)

Nice, thanks so much for the heads up with all these suggestions.

For the record.. I love Rob Zombie, and I own Astro Creep 2000
I also like Faith No More... Have not listened to them in a while, will have to check that out too!
