I finished "The Dante Club"

Entertaining mystery novel. I recommended it to a few, and the ones who read it liked it.

Just for kicks, I am reading The Wheel of Time series now.

Have you read any Douglas Adams? Not exactly motivational, but The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy should be read by everybody at least once.

Frankly speaking life has been rather depressing lately so I'm looking for some self help type books as well. Was thinking about "7 habits of highly effective people" or "First things first". Anyone got suggestions for motivational books?

Another thing that interests me is human behavior, how the mind works etc. I liked Influence: Psychology of Persuasion....

Evolution of Consciousness

GREAT book... a little outdated, but still good. I don't know WTF that guy that gave it a 1/5 was complaining about... i didn't find it depressing at all. Maybe he was religious and thought that God was more responsible for what happens to us than ourselves.

You'll understand why somebody as powerful as Bill Clinton, leader of the free world, would risk his presidency and legacy for some poon-tang from a fat girl.

A Confederacy of Dunces is my favorite book to read when I'm depressed. It's such a funny book and I can't help but feel better about myself after reading it. LOL.

More to come when I think of 'em.

"The Age of Spiritual Machines," Raymond Kurzweil
"Great Mambo Chicken and the Transhuman Condition," Ed Regis
"The Selfish Gene," Richard Dawkins
"Maps in a Mirror," Orson Scott Card
"The Mind's I," Daniel Dennet
