Well, if you like astronomy, go to the APOD Archive and make wallpapers from their huge full-size pictures.

If that's the kind of science wallpaper you're looking for.

For a long time I used a picture of the Mars surface that I found on a JPL or MGS site. Sand dunes and ice. Good stuff. I found a picture.
 
Just unpacked a Sony Vaio with a 17" 1920x1200 display.

Nice toy, but I still wish they'd go with a true 16:9.

man I loved my 1920 x 1200 dell 8500, finding wallpaper was a problem. easiest way is to find high resolution wallpapers and crop them.
