Wings of Honneamise

Yeah, Wings of Honkywhatever was pretty good. The attention to detail is what got me.

Not a great Anime watcher, in fact the only Anime I've seen is probably the above Wings of Hunkaaniseed, Akira and one with an android girl I can't remember the plot or the name of, but I did actually buy and watch the entire Last Exile series. I was seduced by the steampunk art, and it wasn't that bad a TV series - very hackneyed, but gorgeous art - I lust after the (no longer available) limited edition box set with the scale model of a Vanship.

That I haven't seen. Time to time, I crave those awesome anime drawing craftsmanship. Anything is good as long as production value is good.

I've seen & liked:

90% of Ghibli Studio films
Girl Who Leapt Through Time (I loved it, reminded me of HS days)
Akira
Vampire Hunter D & Bloodlust
Ghost in the Shell 1 & 2
All Eva movies
Graveyard of the Fireflies

etc..

Anything that had a theatrical release is of great quality & not childish. There has to be few gems in the last 3-4 years.

to be honest, u've exhausted the pool.

Supposedly the [GitS 2.0 Blu-Ray] disc also has the original version as an extra (I don't have it to check).

But it's a terrible SD version where even the text at the opening is butchered. The DVD is better by far.
