That I haven't seen. Time to time, I crave those awesome anime drawing craftsmanship. Anything is good as long as production value is good.

I've seen & liked:

90% of Ghibli Studio films
Girl Who Leapt Through Time (I loved it, reminded me of HS days)
Akira
Vampire Hunter D & Bloodlust
Ghost in the Shell 1 & 2
All Eva movies
Graveyard of the Fireflies

etc..

Anything that had a theatrical release is of great quality & not childish. There has to be few gems in the last 3-4 years.

The Place Promised in Our Early Days

Older:
Millennium Actress
A Wind Named Amnesia

If you're willing to watch a TV series, Kamichu! is the closest to Miyazaki you'll find in one.

I've been keeping my eye on Kamichu for a while. I wish I purchased it when it was ~$23 at Amazon. It's up to forty something now :/.

It's Korean, but Wonderful Days was really interesting and had some blindingly beautiful scenes once in a while.

Cowboy Bebop : Knockin' on Heaven's Door was pretty good as well.

I like the mention above of Paprika, that was one odd film but good imho.

I'm pissed about GitS 2.0 Blu-Ray. I had never really watched the movie before, but I had seen enough to know how impressive it was. When I bought the Blu-Ray version, I thought it was a good price. It turns out I got ripped off. They replaced ALL the impressive animation with the most un-impressive CG I've ever seen.

You may have seen them already, but I just finished watching Hellsing and Afro Samurai. Both were really good, and I don't even like anime.

It's a little better at rightstuf.com right now ($38) but could go as low as $30 then next time that studio goes on sale there (the studio sales change every 2 weeks).

Supposedly the disc also has the original version as an extra (I don't have it to check).

The best anime I ever watched was Trigun, but that's not a movie.

The most recent anime I have watched was GiS 2.0, a remake of the original, and an interesting new release called The Sky Crawlers. Visually impressive, but I found the story a bit dull at times.
