I'm living with my mother-in-law for a little while and she's an Apple People. They use a 3rd generation Time Capsule as a router... and I have little experience with wifi networks. In the past I've had issues - buffering issues with streaming to an XBox, dropped connections on PCs (or ping spikes), etc., but their network seems healthy. I'm at the opposite end of the house from the router and my phone gets a signal strength of about -70db. I do a lot of online gaming, heavy downloading and streaming, and I'd prefer to have no worse an experience than running a cable.

I have two PCs I'd like to connect to the network. If the price is similar, I have a slight preference for a PCI-e adapter, but have PCI and PCI-e slots free in both. Cheaper is better, but I'd gladly pay a few dollars more for a solid boost in signal strength if it's necessary or advised. I'd prefer to have an adapter that is compatible with Aircrack but this is not a requirement.
What should I buy?
