Recommend me a VB book...

I have a little experience working with VB6.0 and is looking for a book that covers EVERYTHING you need to know about VB. Any suggestions?

I am familiar with the general concepts, since i know c/c++ pretty well, just trying to widen the horizon and see how powerful VB is.

Anyway, might as well brush up on VB.NET since 6.0 is old.

Just so you know, VB.NET is the exact same thing as C#, with bastardized syntax. I'd reccomend learning C# instead, but a note - the hardest part of learning windows programming isn't the language, it is the platform. Check out Petzold's C# book for a good intro.

Well i am learning VB because i got an internship this summer that use alot of VB. I know VB is pretty easy therefore i accepted the internship eventhough i am not that fluent on VB.

So any other suggestions?

It's BASIC style syntax instead of C style syntax.

Can't reco a book, since I can't remember which one I used, but you'll always find VB haters, even though VB.NET is a superb language for business applications. RAD AND it's powerful.

I tried VB.net, and its great, but my internship will strickly be VB6

VB6 is a good language too, even though there are "haters". If you have any particular area a large bookstore will have a ton of books on it. Otherwise for a general one I'd find some on amazon.com and just see the reviewer notes!

I taught myself VB6, with a little help from a vb5 book I located for $5 which was extreamly good. I also picked up 2 more, whcih were also extreamly good, but oon slightly different things. (one on DB's others on Dist, etc) I have them at work, I will get the names 4 u.

I have taken an introductory course on VB, but it doesn't go very in-depth. I will give amazon and buy.com a look and see what the viewers recommend.
