I've noticed that the ones they sell at Frys are either lame or cost $100. Anyone have some advice for a good USB phone that I can use with skype. Wireless is prefered but wired is ok as long as it's not a 6 foot cable. Either that or can I get a USB cable to extend it with ?

Internet Phone Wizard (less $$) or VoSKY Call Center:

These plug into a computer by USB. Any regular corded or cordless phone plugs into the device, for making VOIP calls. The same phone is also still connected to the regular phone line. Switching between VOIP and the regular phone line is done by pressing twice on the # key.

I like the Wi-Fi Skype phones. I've got the Belkin model and love it.

I have read te ads for these phones and am not sure what sort of a server must be present to enable that phone use.

Is it by satelite? is it by some local land antena relay system? how do you grt online with it. I understand the computer portion is in the phone, but not near what I must be to make calls.

I HAVE READ AN INCREDIBLE AMOUNT ABOYT THE VEARRIED OPTIONS AND i MAY START A THREAD WITH INFORMATION AND QUESTIONS THAT AS A GROUP WE MAY ALL BENEFIT FROM.
