Recommend me a TV

Not sure if this is the proper section, seems to be the best fit.

I'm in the market for a TV that will act as a monitor and a TV. It will be hooked to my gaming (PC) system via HDMI and have bunny ears to get me OTA HD channels.

I want something in the 26"-32" range. Any bigger and it wont fit on my desk.

Is this the right route to go? Alternatively I could get a TV card for my computer, but in the end I will use it a lot more as a TV than a Monitor for the PC.

I bought a 26" Vizio and it just wasn't adequate. It was 1080p but had terrible quality when used as a monitor. I don't expect it to be as good, don't get me wrong, but it was downright terrible.

I saw this at Best Buy last night and it looks really good and it looks like it would make an OK monitor.

Thoughts? Any TV suggestions or alternate setup suggestions? At minimum I want a 2nd monitor for when I do certain work.

Thanks!

How about something like this that is a monitor first but has a built in TV tuner.

Wow didn't know those existed, I like this suggestion.

I should add I tend to wean away from the Sony I listed because it only has 4 HDMI and 1 RGB input, whereas I'd like at least 2 HDMI and one composite (I hook up old systems on occassion). This tv you listed is very close, though. I can at least make it work because it has DVI. I also like Samsung.

From my experience: TVs don't really handle monitor duties very well. For example, you'll have hard time reading text in most games and applications at high resolutions, especially if you sit some distance away from it. I'd look into an actual monitor with or without a TV tuner (you can always buy an extension card.)

My 55" TV works pretty good as a monitor I think. But I'm wondering if it is due to the size at this point.

EDIT:

What do you mean by extension card? Is this a card that would go in my tower?
