I'm going off to college and I don't want to lug a monitor and a huge TV, plus I don't have room for the TV. So I figured I'd bring my 22" monitor since it has dual input. Does anyone have any good recommendations for a tv tuner box (not a tv tuner card, I don't want it to go through my comp). I just wanna be able to press the second display button on my monitor and be able to switch to tv. I've looked on newegg and say a couple of ones from viewsonic, but the lower priced ones seem to only support 1024x768 @ 75Hz whereas optimal for my monitor is 1280x1024 @ 100 Hz... plus the viewsonic the remote control is like business card size that its ridiculous. Hope someone can help me find a good one (maybe from dorm experience). TIA

The whole idea of utilizing the second input on my monitor is to bypass the PCI card so I can use my comp and watch TV simultaneously with just a button :).

Wouldn't that be easier with a PCI card that could put the TV in a window or fullscreen it and switch w/o taking your hand off the mouse?

Still can switch without taking my hand off my mouse. It's called a left hand because the input switch is on the monitor.

Besides I'm out of PCI slots.
