I figured I'd give you guys a shot over general hardware.

I am looking for a medium size black case. Aluminum is a plus, but not required.

I am currently rocking a qbic, but I find that it is too small and I used to have a massive server case, but that was way too big.

Any thoughts ?

In aluminum and black, Lian Li PC 7B Plus can be had w/2 120mm fans @ about $110.
This is a pretty good case. Lacks some features.

In 2mm aluminum Kingwin 424 @ newegg for $85. Nice looking fully featured, rubber HDD
mounts, three speed fan control, air filter. The bad, it has three 80mm fans. Very well built case. Wish i bought it for my sister's build rather than the SkyHawk i got.

In steel there are a number of Antec models, 3000 & Sanota are two to look at.
You will now be bombarded with the Antec guys. We are going to change the name
of this Forum to,"Antec Cases & Cooling." :D

Search Amazon.com for "SLK3000-B." $42.99 shipped, comes with three-speed 120mm exhaust fan, no PSU. Rubber grommets for the HDD mounts, holds up to five HDDs just in the main rack. Black. Has that stupid door over the drives :p Has those stupid vents on the side panel :p But for $42.99 shipped, hey. And it's not huge.

Second on the Antec SLK3000-B. A lot of case mojo for the money. Amazon and Provantage have had the best prices on it. If you want a bit more elegance with a reomovable mobo tray etc., then the Kingwin 424, Beantech Igloo or Victor cases (all pretty much the same basic case with some different options) - best selection and prices on Kingwin have been at ZZF while the Beantech and Victor variants have been at computergate.com .

Gigabyte 3d Aurora in black is nice. Iv got one and i love it. I wouldnt classify it as "medium sized" though, id consider it large (not as big as a server case though). It fullfils all your other requirments, and it only weights about 7.2 kg.

I think the Coolermaster Centurion 5 looks good too, it is steel, but thats acceptable since its cheap (around $100 AUD). I heard its not too good airflow wise, but it looks good, its cheap, and its black (comes in blue too).

I second the Tsunami, I have it for my main system and it works great . . . definitely beats the Soprano that I have for my other system. And yes the Centurion seems to be an excellent case as well . . .

They're only going to have it for a few months? Then what? Are others going to carry it as well, or is it going to disappear entirely?
