Garmin's decline in quality is very disappointing, but the Nuvi has finally worn out its welcome. It should not need 10 straight minutes to do a search and then find a store in southern California when I am in Norcal. That's when it finds things. I've lost track of the number of times I have punched in the name of a store in a city and it couldn't find it. All I can do I search by address, but not by name.

I am looking for a GPS with fast searches and lots of points of interest. Recommendations?

A smartphone, especially Android based. Allways connected, so you have the most up to date POIs.

If you like to tinker/hack things, you might check out certain underground GPS forums before settling on a certain unit. I'm not allowed to link them since there is some less-than-legal content on these forums.

I had no idea Moto was in the GPS business. Thanks for the recommendation, I'll look into it.
