I have the Dell Latitude D800 (w/ 15.4 widescreen) and I'm currently using the Logitech Basic Optical mouse (retails for like $10). I want a cordless optical mouse that matches my laptop (silver and black). I do some FPS gaming so I want something that is accurate w/ no lag. I don't really care about the size of the receiver base unless it's really huge (eg: Logitech MX700). Here is what I have found so far:

Logitech MX700: I know someone is going to recommend this. I like the mouse but I think the base is just way too big for a laptop. I know the performance is top-notch but again, I don't like the huge base.

Logitech Cordless Optical Notebook Mouse: I kinda like this mouse (because it's not ultra-small like the Targus notebook mice) but I don't like the way it feels in my hand. Also, the button clicks are pretty loud.

Any recent Microsoft Cordless Products: I HATE the tilt-wheel technology.

I'm leaning towards the Logitech mice but again, some of them just don't look right next to my laptop due to its weird colors.

Its hard to recommed a mouse to someone. Everyones hand is different. Go to a local computer or electronic store and try them out. Just get whats most comfortable.

BTW, Everyone here is going to swear by the MX Duo.

only reason why the mx700 base is so big because it's also a rechargable base. have you considered the logitech cordless mouseman? it isnt rechargable and isn't as accurate as the mx700.

so far, i found the razer interesting, i went to my homies pad one time and he had this mouse that was slick. better than the razer when it comes to design. as far as logitech mouses, i won't recommnedn a cordless due to laggy issues and those cordless mouse weighs a ton coz you have to put 2 AA batteries. i have an mx duo right now and i won't suggest it for gaming. i think the laser mouse from logitech seems to be pretty interesting. im not sure if they have the non-cordless ones. but then again, if it's cordless, dont trust em,.
