So I have really dry skin (and eczema), and my doctor recommended I get a humidifier for the winter. I have no idea where to start. All I know is I want simple, and quiet. I don't need it all day, just at night when I sleep. Does anyone have any recommendations? Looking to spend no more than $100. Hopefully around 50ish.

How large of an area do you need it to function in?

Personally, I'd just go to Lowe's, Home Depot, and Walmart for a small one.

just for my bedroom. Any difference between cool mist and warm mist, for my skin I mean.

is it for the winter? you will want the get the warm mist one. check out what you can get from amazon.com on honeywell brand humidifier. they are generally good. warm mist one is more expensive than cool mist because you don't need the filter. it requires frequent cleaning tho, depend on how much substances from your tap water.

warm mist = heat, boil water to steam. a few degrees warmer in the room.
cool mist = fan. a few degrees cooler in the room.
