I have spent some time researching and have come up with the following build:

Antec Three Hundred Black ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply
ASUS P5Q Pro LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz LGA 775 Quad-Core
VisionTek 900244 Radeon HD 4870 512MB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express
OCZ 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual
Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 750GB 3.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive

I am not looking to do heavy overclocking, simply just be able to handle today's games and applications at maximum settings. Can anyone recommend me a HSF that will fit, easy to install, and at a reasonable price? Is there anything else I should take note of?

Thank you.

Yes, I somewhat agree that the arctic cooler pro should do the job and its probably the best bang for the buck. But there are better, more expensive, and much heavier alternatives available. The handicap of many of them is that many require through bolts that require the removal of the motherboard to install. But since you are building, that is not a handicap for you, but it would be a handicap for someone replacing the heat sink after the mobo is installed.
